alright listen up, no bs today. heres a little sumsum we should think about.
heres the scenario. player A and player B and so on. we focus on A and B. Lets say A is a good player. Whilst B is slightly lousier but nonetheless a player. to simplify the ration is

player A 10:8 player B and both have a good scoring rate. A of course being better.

player A and B are on the same team.
the match plays at the start everyone gets a chance and so on. the score then goes to a point where the opposing team is on the verge of winning. so basically, what would normally happen is everyone will get caught up in the hype. and everyone focuses on the better player to make points. but the thing is, the team will also put an effort to stop the better player which is therefore dubbed player A. so in a virtualistic way, it turns to a 4 on 1. here begins the lesson

player A dribbles into the fray with a enormous adredaline rush focusing every single thought and sense into cutting in and making the basket. but it is too hard to penetrate. player B is open and in a good scoring zone and shouts out to pass the ball. but in the rush, player 'A' didnt hear and didnt pass the ball. this goes on. a few successful shots but still in the end, a futile attempt at winning.

after the match, player B asks why he didn't pass the ball. player A either says 'B' didnt or responds by saying 'B' didnt call for the ball. player B says he did which triggers the response ' are you even sure you can score '

now, if player B wasnt in a good shooting spot but 'A' still passes the ball to 'B' , the ball could be passed around to reset and create a new play. so dont ask me 'player B can score anot?'. and another important note, always keep your f-ed up mind thinking and not so focused till you cant hear a call and generate some absurb reason. if you know you cant make it, pass out, or slow down and turn back.

just to state some points i missed out and am too lazy to go find and palce it in the proper position, when i said player A charged in, please dont tell me he might make the shot because i imagine a scene where the defense was near to impossible to pierce through. and just so you know and to keep you from peeing in your pants, this post isnt aimed at any single party but to those who happen to experience this scenario. dont say 'how to think at such a time' because its not even thinking. it should be like auto and not thought up. besides even if you have to think about it. theres not much to think about. dribble in+a very low chance of scoring=pass out. thats all. so ppl think about it. i think everyone of us experienced this before. so if you can score you score. but if the situation is too hot and the ball most likely would not go in, pass out. simple.theres confidence and over-confidence.
